A response to Rilke.

There is no wall between us
Unless thinking make it so.
This thinking says it lives in me and around me.
Yet, like the single drop which makes up the ocean, the single thought of doubt sometimes forms the most impenetrable barrier.
I know you are there.
I feel you here.
This faith overcomes and integrates doubt.
Like the plum easily picked from the tree,
if ripe, the juicy liquid streams elegantly down my cheek, feeling the energetic impulses of your
Love + Wisdom.
If bitter, my mind seeks for the sweetness, in the dark lies only a memory of the stream- but I know it is there.
Accepting the bitterness can be so hard.
Yet, like the crashing waves, nothing is meant to be still for too long;
Nor permanently sweet;
Nor bitter forever.
Calm is the night, like the luminescent moon,
shining the suns shadow on
the unexpected travelers face.
It’s all one embrace.
One heart.
One mind.
One body.
In essence, the wall- be it an impenetrable membrane,
is the illusory symbolic layer of my fright and scarcity; shadow side of Creation.
Showing itself under the moonlight,
waiting for the sun to rise another day.
